Hate, Hate, Hate, oh, and Love..



Alice Springs, a fine town with many vistas for backpackers to visit, including the best reptile park in the southern hemisphere (isn't everything?!) and free didgeridoo lessons at the Opal Mine after 6:00 pm!!

Too bad i leave tomorrow, at first Alice seemed crap but there's actually heaps of shit to do, and heaps cheap tours and
stuff.

Seriously, travelling rocks, meeting heaps of cool people is heaps cool, getting heaps of free stuff is even cooler, i heartily recommend it, i will be coming up to Alice again in July for the beanie festival so i hope you can come too! Yes! YOU! Because it's sick, and cheap, and fun! Plus think of all the beanies!! My plan is to go to Alice, then down through Uluru to Adelaide and then catch a ferry to Tassie and hang there for a month, then come back, save up and go to Mexico at the start of next year, starting at Cali, down through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama and then down to Brazil! Think about the Brazillian beaches!! So if you want to come, let me know!

What else.. hmm not much, leaving Uluru sucked because i got to know the crew down there and they were really very cool and i wish i could've stayed! Stupid Band & House!! Nah, i'm looking forward to finishing this cd and gigging hard, in fact it's all i can think about.

Man, backpacker chicks are HOT! There are two near me right now and they're babes, and one of them has got on a miniskirt, arrghh, and a sexy accent, how upsettingly frustrating.. oh shit! there's 3! *Sigh*

Tonight im having beers with a dude called Abdul who i met in the kitchen of the Outback Pioneer Hotel in Uluru, i just ran into him so we're gonna go get $8 jugs! And tomorrow i catch a plane home! Yayyyyy!! Bed!!!

This is the end..

So im coming home soon, or is it going home? Well, im doing that, and i feel a little bit happy, and a little bit sad, and it seems a bit funny, it makes me kinda glad.. Oh no, its the song from the end of Donnie Darko!

We wore Kimonos and walked around Uluru barefeet and with beanies! Fuck it was a long walk! But it was worth it. Our goals now achieved we are disbanding and beginning a new chapter in our lives. Rachel is to become the Uluru barwench, Ben will be Mr.5 Star resort waiter man, and i will go back to Penrith. Ohhhh Penrith... I have to admit, i look forward to it, i plan on getting shit kicking again. Yesterday i got drunk and sent a message to everyone that said 'Monkey Monkey Monkey Monkey, for more information call Pablo', Well i got a few calls, and a potential buyer in Allan who said he was interested in the 2 free monkeys with every monkey purchased by a monkey, so he will be thinking about that and getting back to me, but i also got a call from the one and only mr Hoju #8 who desperately wants to get gigs and a scene going again and we talked and it should be sick! Im gonna meet up with him and we're gonna try to make some shit happen! Woo! See, in this trip of reflection, i've had the time to realize, that in my reality, it's not about being big, it's actually about getting out there and playing and having fun and getting all fucked up on crazy music and going wild, fuck playing 'the game' the only bands that get big by playing the game are Mathbox 20 and the like, fuck it, the real good bands like Nirvana or Jane's Addiction, have the game catch up to them! So fuck the status quo, fuck being professionals, fuck playing gigs as a strategy, lets just do it and see what happens! Im over playing in a room, i wanna play in a hall! Gunners played their first gig to 13 people!

Ok so thats the band thing, on with what's been happenning here in the 'red centre', we're been meeting heaps of locals and employees and shit, everyone seems to have this thing with shouting us beer so we've been getting heaps of free booze, and also i've been getting free food from the salad bar every night so that's sick, we met a mad cunt called 'Cookie' well, that's what we called him, he's japanese and he taught me how to say 'I love monkeys and cheese' in japanese, it is 'watashiwa cheez-toh saruga daiski' woo! Umm what else, Oh! there's a beanie festival in Alica springs this July and im going! We were sitting around bored waiting for someone to inspire us and this islander dude who works with aboriginal communities sat down and bought us some beer and told us about the beanie festival, well we didnt believe him, but then this other girl, who had no relation to him, sat down and we asked her if she knew about it and she said 'yes! im friends with the organizer! have a card!' so she gave it to us! Wow, it must've been fate! We then talked about beanies for 3 hours. Wow.
