The Monkey's Cheese!

   Friday, July 8

"Sinuhe.. what does it mean?"
"Its egyptian, there is a great story behind my name"
"So which is it gonna be?"
"This, it's a fossilised snail over 5 million years old, I want you to have it"
"Wow."

Dont ever underestimate the power of hooking up a stranger.
_______________

Sinuhe walked up to me in the morning with his daughter, he was travelling and desperate for a smoke, I said I couldnt help him right now, but I could meet him at Santo Domingo at nine. He didnt expect I'd show up.

With him were his wife, his baby girl and his best buddy Mario, all headed to San Cristobal, selling supplies to artisans along the way. I was with Enit, the cute girl with glasses who likes to sing ice cream jingles, and on my way to a bar to watch a dumb spanish movie.

We didnt hang out much, but it was enough for me to meet Omar. I now had a contact with someone who lived in Guatemala.

A great thing to have.

Topi had gone out book shopping while I was gallivanting around town and meeting Sinuhe, who he knew nothing about.

I asked him which book he bought.

"One about an egyptian guy called Sinuhe, its meant to be great!".

I laughed at the coincidence.
