Normal: The collection of huge debts on expensive cars, credit cards, houses and products. The expectation to work unreasonable hours in order to maintain a basic standard of living. Subdued acquiescence to the indiscretions and illegalities of the state. A repression of the weirdness gland and an assumed posture of maturity. A lack of interest in anything other than the immediate and media perpetrated environment. A quiet but consistent level of hypocrisy and apathy marked by tokenistic commentaries and gestures with little to no effect. An unmerited feeling of superiority over those not on the same economic level regardless of reason. A sense of national pride without national shame. Beer. Status Quo maintaining friendships. Wife. Mortgage. Kids. Crisis. Depression. Consumption. Relief. Death.

Idealists dream in an unlikely fashion.
Dreamers speak in a transient way.
Speakers speak to enable the future.
Futurists think of what time will become.

The spinning globe is a little refraction.
Buoyed by laws which we name but don't get.
Repeal the laws and what's left is a memory.
The living thought which created the play.

First was the word and the word was a bang.
Then came the smashing, thrashing, the blasts and the rays.
Then came this, and this spoke to the rest.
So the past came to know itself.

This is not a poem, its just short sentences.
Stacked in four to create an illusion.
Depth, meaning, causation, reversal.
In the end, its all mush given form.

I wanted to share this video about how we're revolutionizing communications.

Human evolution, communication, and interaction is being revolutionized in front of our eyes every single day, and we're missing it!

We're so busy doing it and interacting with it, that we forget to stop, step back, and appreciate the meaning and implications of the machine.

This video is inspiring. I wish more people thought about these things.

Steve was given this by his Grandma for Christmas because she thought it would be a 'nice game'. I don't think she realized that what she gave him was Engrish and Spiritual gold.
It is now his religion.

Sophie sent me a wonderful comic book which I had to share.

It is written by Lynda Barry and is an excerpt from a book called 'What It Is' which I will certainly be buying (published by Drawn and Quarterly).

Please take time to read some of the scans (*click*), they are wonderful.
